Lynn Faulds Wood is an award-winning TV presenter and health campaigner.
With her husband John Stapleton, Lynn presented the BBC’s Watchdog programme for eight years, winning many awards,
including four Consumer Journalist of the Year, Consumer Journalist of the Decade and two Motoring Journalist of
the Year awards. Lynn was responsible for bringing in many new laws (bunk beds, cookers) , new British Standards
(toasters, food processors, irons), multi-million pound recalls (cars, pushchairs ..) and responsible for the redesign
of many household products. On air, in pursuit of company bosses who wanted to evade unhappy customers, she was
kicked, attacked with a rottweiler dog chain, pursued by a lorry and chased by a woman with an axe.
On TV, Lynn is GMTV’s part-time “Consumer Champion” (highlights including helping to recover £2 million for
unhappy customers of the liquidated Powerhouse electrical retail chain and sending a Glasgow counterfeiter to jail).
She will be making a new consumer series for BBC1 peak-time later this year.

"I get a lot of complaints from people
who shopped in what they thought was the safety of their own homes - and have been ripped off. I would urge
people to buy under the S.H.O.P.S. home shopping protection scheme as, if
things go wrong, it guarantees that your money is safe." |
